Adam is a creative leader with 25 years of experience evolving brands through culture, storytelling and design. After graduating with a BFA in illustration and design from Syracuse University, he started his professional career at Virtual Music Entertainment, a video game startup, creating interfaces and animations for music-based PC games. That lead him to his dream job as an in-house designer at the independent music label, Rykodisc, designing packaging and promotional materials for the beloved label’s roster of artists. During the dot-com boom, he joined Razorfish to help Estée Lauder build one of the industry’s earliest cross-brand e-commerce platforms, gloss.com.

In 2001, he entered the world of advertising to work on the Truth campaign at Arnold Worldwide in Boston. Throughout his six years working within the design department at Arnold, he lead design and branding initiatives for a wide range of global clients such as The American Legacy Foundation, P&G, Celebrity Cruises, Ocean Spray, Fidelity Investments, Citizen’s Bank, Brown Forman, Southern Comfort, and Jack Daniels.

In 2007 he left Arnold as a Vice President Creative Director to start his own studio, Adam&Co., a boutique brand design agency known for delivering brand-defining work for global leaders across media, sports, culture, and entertainment including CNN, ESPN, MIT, Nike, 2K Sports, Absolut, Sam Adams, Harvard, Converse, Puma, Rihanna, Beyoncé, and Pharrell Williams.

Currently, as the Global Brand Creative Director at HOKA, he leads the evolution of the brand’s creative vision by blending strategic insights with brand storytelling and design expertise. He oversee a high-performing cross-functional team of in-house creatives, contractors and partner agencies to deliver modern solutions that meet key business objectives, connects with the brand’s core audience, and fuels the brand’s global growth and awareness.

He regularly collaborates with brand, design and advertising agencies, integrating as part of their creative teams. His work has been featured in numerous art and design publications, and has received multiple awards from the world’s top design and advertising competitions.

His personal work has exhibited in Boston, New York and Los Angeles. He has taught design at the Massachusetts College of Art & Design, and was a founding editor/art director of the pop culture glossy, Lemon Magazine. He recently co-authored three books titled Dear Graduate, Dear Love, and Dear Newlyweds, with his partner Charles McEnerney which are published by Clarkson Potter, an imprint of Penguin Random House.
