Creative Review
What should sports advertising celebrate today? Winning? Performance? Or the people, communities, and experiences that shape them?
I was asked this question and more for this recent piece from Creative Review exploring the changing voice of sports advertising.
For decades, sports advertising largely prioritized achievement. The podium. The finish line. Victory in all its glory. While that still matters, audiences today crave deeper connections.
The most compelling work doesn't choose between performance and humanity. It relies on insights and truths that present a meaningful intersection of both to connect with modern consumers.
At HOKA, we've seen firsthand how powerful it can be to tell stories that celebrate not just the athlete, but the communities, individuals, and moments that shape their journey, and help them move forward. Performance remains essential, but humanity is what makes it resonate.
Thank you Creative Review for a compelling take on where our industry is headed, and for inviting me to be part of the conversation. 🙌
